Even though the sun illuminates the skies for only a few hours in winter, the snow and often blue skies, fireplaces, reading, games offer plenty of possibilities. If the northern lights show, a wunter day in Swedish Lappland reaches perfection.
After spending the day outdoors either snow-shoeing, on a husky tour, cross-country skiing, ice-skating, ice-fishing or downhill skiing, the traditional BBQs in our Grillkota round up a special day.

Husky sled tours with a visit to the husky ranch
Very close to us, on the opposite side of Hemsjön, is the husky farmCold Nose Huskies (the operators speak German, English and Swedish). Alaskan huskies are kept in a species-appropriate and loving manner here, with whom a husky sled tour can be pure action fun, with the local sled drivers also having "quiet sightseeing trips" in their portfolio.

snowshoe hikes
In the sunshine in the glistening powder snow on groomed trails, you can walk for hours over the frozen lakes and through the white forests and, with a bit of luck, spot moose, reindeer and rare birds, which simply would not be possible without snowshoes in the deep snow.
Our guides know the paths and ensure a comfortable "fire break" with food. Great fun that really gets you going.
winter sports
Here you will find guaranteed snow and the finest powder snow from October. You can reach mountains with lifts and groomed slopes in about 30 minutes by car. Lakes with ice layers of around 80 cm invite you to various winter sports options.

Musherparadies
Last season we had the first mushers visit us with their dogs. From this situation the idea was born to create an attractive place for mushers and their dogs to train in the winter months.
We offer enough space for dog runs, accommodation, snow guarantee between November and April, as well as direct access to various trails right outside the front door. If anyone is interested in spending time with us, please get in touch.
We also respond to individual requests.
